The negative effects of the digital divide have risen to the surface on all levels of the educational system during the pandemic caused by the COVID-19 virus. Hereupon, teachers creativity and involvement in order to solve these issues is emphasized.

Furthermore, the various kinds of digital divides are discussed, concluding that all of them are present currently, noting that the cognitive gap remains the most worrying.

Finally, the contributors delve into the importance of implementing strong public policy in order to shrink the digital gap. They conclude that these policies must take contextual needs into account and establish follow-up mechanisms so as to determine their impact.
